The trek begins from Chamoli district in the Garhwal Himalayas, after which we embark on to the Kuari Pass, followed by a challenging trek through deep snowy terrains, rocks and steep slopes, to reach its peak.

The peak oversees forests, never-ending meadows and merging of several Himalayan rivers. Along with a rare sight of footprints of the Himalayan Bear or the Leopard. The climb to the Parngarchula Peak, at 4700 m is all the excitement you will need! For those who do not wish to participate in the Pangarchula peak trek, there is a Mini Pangarchula peak trek at 4200 m or they can simply relax at the base camp.

DEPARTURE TIME Please arrive at Dehradun on 7 a.m.

Day 01 : Dehradun – Joshimath

Meet at Dehradun Railway station at 7:00 am and drive to Joshimath, passing through the holy towns of Devprayag and Rudraprayag, with Ganga and Alaknanda rivers flowing at our side. Overnight stay in a lodge at Joshimath.


Day 02 : Joshimath – Khulara

Early breakfast and a short drive later, we will reach the starting point of our trek. From here, we will begin hiking to Khulara, cutting through the Auli meadows which are ideal for skiing. On our way through the forests, we will glimpse the Nanda Devi peak among other mountains, before we reach the sprawling prairies of Gurson. Next, we will climb down through Oak, Chestnut, Deodar and Maple trees to arrive at our campsite at Tali. However, we will continue to walk for a couple of more hours to reach Khulara’s camp set in between meadows, mountains and a star-lit sky. Overnight stay in tents.


Day 03 : Khulara – Kuari Pass – Pangarchula Peak Base Camp

After an early breakfast, we will start our Kuari pass trek, ascending the pastures full of grazing sheep. 3 hours later, we will reach Kuari pass and choose whether we want to head towards Kuari pass directly or take another route to capture scenic scenes. Post this, we head down to the Pangarchula peak base camp from where you are treated with marvelous views of the Chaukhamba, Kedarnath, Neelkanth, Dronagiri, Haathi-Ghodi, etc. Overnight stay in tents.


Day 04 : Base Camp – Pangarchula Peak – Khulara

With a 5:00 am breakfast, we start our day’s trek on the ascending slopes of a challenging rocky terrain which will take us to the summit. Walking through deep snowy routes, dawn will greet us with the warmth of mesmerizing views, including the Nanda Devi and Trishul peaks. After taking in the magical surroundings, we will resume our walk down to the camp where we will unwind and celebrate. If you arrive early at the base camp, you can even trek down to the Khulara camp. Overnight stay in tents.


Day 05 : Khulara – Joshimath

Post breakfast, we will trek towards the road linking Joshimath to Niti-Malari valley continuing to hike all the way to Dhak through cute little villages and dense thickets. We can stop at the villages of Tugasi and Kharsi to soak in the local and indigenous culture. From Dhak, we will drive to Auli. A warm meal and a hot shower later, we will stay overnight in the lodge at Auli.


Day 06 : Joshimath – Dehradun


OPTION: 1 Rs. 13,500/- Per Person (Triple Occupancy)

Kuari Pass Trek is one of the most amazing treks in the Himalayas. Every small detail was perfectly organized! The villages and locals of the region were also very helpful. Excellent organization by the leaders ! I can still recall each and every moment of this trek. Everything is so fresh and pleasant. 6 days was a fair amount of time in making it to the pass and overcome all the small or big challenges on my way to the Kuari Pass…

Overall it was amazingly awesome experience. The best part of the trek were its astonishing views and the camping experience with the group.While booking this trek, I really noticed that Aahvan Adventures tries their best in keeping you informed about all the bits and pieces of the trek. Really, great job team !

The food was better than we expected for a camping trip…nice to have fresh veggies and fruit.the excellent planning and coordination of our meals and snacks was the best part. The whole experience was wonderful.Everything was great..

Everybody should take out time from their busy schedule and take on such beautiful treks.The whole time I was in Kuari I was spell bounded…Its beautiful, peaceful and amazing experience.The trekking itinerary was so well designed that we got enough rest and relaxation to keep up our spirits for the trek. Just Wow !
