The Pin Parvati Pass is a mountain pass in Himachal Pradesh snuggled at an altitude of 17,380 feet above sea level. This pass interlinks the fertile and abundant Parvati valley on the Kullu side of the Pin valley on the Spiti side. It is a popular trekking destination.Often referred to as the most challenging trek in the Indian Himalaya; it’s more than worth the effort. You should definitely give this a try and you won’t regret it for sure.

Manali to Rudranath Base camp

We all will gather here at Manali bus stop and will drive towards Barsheni village enclosed by heavy pine jungles and lush green valleys. Moving forward to Kalga village which is around 30-40 minutes away, we will reach our base campsite Rudranath. Overnight stay will be at camps.

Rudranath to Khirganga

So, today is the second day and we will be trekking towards Khirganga, this is going to be a long day as the trail is long and bit tiring, crossing the bridge from here we can see River Parvati. Pin Parvati pass trek is very fascinating experience to have fun while trekking and enjoy the tremendous landscape view very nearly. The mountain trail goes through thick greenwood offering splendid views. While on your way to Khirganga you will witness the beauty of flora and fauna around you and a beautiful waterfall. Overnight stay will be at camps.

Khirganga to Tunda Bhuj

Today’s a bright new chilly morning greeting us in the mountains, and after having some hot yummy breakfast we will start trekking towards Tunda Bhuj, situated at a high altitude of 10,500 ft above sea level. The route of this trek takes you through the dense forests and flower strewn meadows. The climb to Tunda Bhuj is quite steep. The trek will take you up to 5 hours to reach the campsite. The place offers you resplendent views of huge mountains covered with snow. Overnight stay will be at camps.

 Tunda Bhuj to Thakur Kuan

Today’s trek is moderately easy. The route towards Thakur Kuan is a little stony and we need to trek bit carefully. Thakur Kuan is a large pasture besides river Parvati. Trekking towards Thakur Kuan will take you up to 4-5 Hours. Overnight stay will be at camps.alternate campsite, depending on which route we choose. Overnight in tents.

Thakur Kuan to Odi Thatch

Today’s trek is going to be a bit challenging and thrilling, as it is not about Odi Thatch but the trail on which we are going to trek, the trek will take 4-5 hours. We will come across two boulder bridges, streams and steep climbs. Bit tough yet beautiful this trek will surprise you with astounding beauty of nature. Odi thatch is a vast pastureland in the valley on reaching the campsite one cannot just stop appreciating the beauty of the place. Overnight stay will be at camps.

Odi Thatch to Mantalai

The trail for today is quite long but isn’t difficult, it is pretty straight forward with no ascents and descents. Mantalai is the source of the river Parvati, as we go further trekking towards the lake there is a steep climb of about 300 meters. After this climb is over we reach the Glacial Lake Mantalai. Overnight stay will be at camps.

Mantalai – Base Camp I of Pin Parvati Pass – 4940m – 5 to 6 hours

Today is the 6th day of our adventurous journey and we will start a bit early than usual today as you just cannot miss the glorious sun-rise at Mantalai, and also today’s trek is going to be a challenging one. We have a muddy steep to begin with and go through many ascents and descents; climb during the trek is quite steep. Reaching the base camp will be a moment to treasure as the views of the campsite are just outstanding. Overnight stay will be at camps.

Base Camp I over the Pass to Base Camp II

Capturing all the moments of Parvati valley one last time we will cross the Might Pin Parvati Pass over to other side into Spiti Valley. The glacier walk will be of around 3 Kilometers. Once this glacier section is over there is a steep climb of around 300-400 m just before the pass. Reaching 17000 ft on your own isn’t a small thing completing this is an achievement in itself. From here we will trek further towards our campsite. The entire trek will take you up to 7-8 hours to complete. Overnight stay will be camps.

 Base Camp I over the Pass to Base Camp II

Wichkurung Thatch to Kaza

So, today is the last day of our adventure trek, and we are heading towards a wide-open valley with numerous streams which leads into the ancient Mud village in the Pin valley of Spiti. And further move to Kaza an ideal base camp for trekking, mountaineering and tours directed to other parts of the valley. Kaza is known for its colorful festivals and the ancient Sakya Tangyud Monastery in a side valley, 4 km from the town. It is also popular with tourists and adventure seekers during summer months because of its central location and connections to rest of the valley and outside. Kaza is the one of the coldest towns in India. Overnight stay will be at camps.

Kaza to Manali

So, now it’s time to bid adieu to the beautiful Kaza and head back towards Manali packing all memories along with your stuff. By evening we will reach Manali and return home with a ton of memories and some good friends.

  1. Full payment / Rs.5,000 for Trek / Rs.10,000 for Road Trip / Mountain Expedition to be made in advance at the time of booking

  4. GST @ 5% will be additional on all the bookings
  5. Last Date of the booking will be closed before 07 days prior trip departure
  6. Cross confirm the dates and seat availability from our team via mail or call before any online booking/reservation
  7. If any invoice amount is above 2 lacs and mode of payment full or partial is in cash (cash paid at counter or deposited in bank) 1% TCS will be applicable and to be deposited extra on total amount and PAN card copy has to be shared.
  8. Full payment is required as per applicable airfare in case of flight booking
  1. In the event of cancellation of any trip/adventure activity services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reasons, we must be notified the same via mail at [email protected]
  2. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice on mail and cancellation charges would be as follows
            -Before 30 days: 90% of the total Land Package Cost is refundable
            -Between 21−30 days: 75% of total Land Package Cost is refundable
            -Between 11−20 days: 50% of total Land Package Cost is refundable
            -Less than 10 days: No refund
  3. Refund will be processed within 10 working days after the cancellation date.
  4. Cancellation charges will be calculated on gross tour cost and the cancellation charges shall depend on date of departure and date of cancellation.
  5. No Refund will be payable:
            -For any missed/unused services of the tour including the meals due to whatsoever reason
            -If services of the tour are modified, varied, amended, cancelled or not utilized.
            -If any client decides and/or is required to cancel the tour due to any changes made in Itinerary or trip
            -If the client is not satisfied with any service of the operator
  1. Aahvan Adventures OPC Pvt Ltd can change the Sequence of the day-wise tour program/Itinerary without any prior notice. It may Change depending upon traffic schedules/restrictions, landslides, flight amendments, weather conditions or any other travel related unforeseen circumstances.
  2. In case of cancellation of the group from our end due to any unavoidable circumstances, we will either transfer the booking in our other fixed departure trips or refund the complete amount except flight charges if any.
  3. Aahvan Adventures takes utmost care to ensure the safety of its members during any of the adventure programs. However, in the case of any unforeseen mishaps, Aahvan Adventures will not be liable for any injuries caused or for loss of life. All disputes arising due to the above will be subject to the jurisdiction of Ahmedabad only. All participants would be required to sign an Indemnity Form before the start of the program, without which traveller would not be allowed to participate in any of the adventure programs.
  4. The package price does not include – Expenses of personal nature, such as laundry, telephone calls, room service, alcoholic beverages, mini bar charges, tips, portage/ offloading charges during any trip, monument fees, camera fees etc.
  5. Package rates are subject to change without prior notice, Force Majeure events, strikes, fairs, festivals, weather conditions, traffic problems, overbooking of hotels/flights, cancellation/re-routing of flights, closure of / entry restrictions at a place of a visit, etc. We would not be held liable for any refunds/compensation claims arising out of this.
  6. It is mandatory for all guests to carry valid photo ID’s (Passport/Driving License/Voter ID Card). PAN Card is not accepted at many places as a valid photo ID.
  7. Aahvan Adventures reserves right to dismiss any client from the tour due to any form of misbehaviour, unreasonable quarrel or physical/verbal assault affecting a client or any of the Ground Field Staff.

Who questions much, Shall learn much.

  • A. This trek is moderate and meant for everyone, right from fit/adventurous to seasoned hikers.
  • A. Dehradun is around 250km from Delhi by road. So many trains are well connected to Dehradun and as well Haridwar, which is 50km away from Dehradun. The nearest airport is Jolly Grand Airport.
  • A. Tempo Traveller / Tata Sumo / Mahindra Bolero
  • A. During the daytime, the temperature will be around 8° to 12° and during the night it will fall down to -10°
  • A. Trekking shoes are not mandatory but, it will make the trek comfortable. Take a shoe with a good grip and high ankle support. It would be better if the shoes are waterproof.
  • A. There is no provision for a bath on the trek.
  • A. Yes, men and women will not be sharing tents, unless they want.
  • A. We provide food for 4 times a day i.e. Breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner.
  • A. Carry an original ID card and a photograph.
  • A. Yes, we do provide Toilet tents.
  • Yes, Sudden weather changes are expected, always carry a light raincoat or waterproof windcheater/poncho.
  • A. In Sankri you will get BSNL mobile network. In other locations, you won’t have any network.
  • A. During the trek, you will get electricity only in Sankri.
